Title:  Mobile Automation Test Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA.- Full Time

Our Atlanta baded client client seeks a Mobile Automation Test Engineer to join their Home Safety Technology team and take current and new technology to the next level in order to meet the consumer demand for integrated smart home products that are reliable, smart and easy to use.   • Create, modify, and execute robust automation test scripts / test plans for software validation.
  • Have the experience and knowledge to architect Automation frameworks for Mobile and / or Cloud applications, or recommend tools from industry
  • Use existing automation frameworks and tools to create and execute new tests or test areas.
  • Execute a variety of hands-on/manual tests as needed.
  • Helping to craft quality from a very early stage, taking the product from early prototype to production.
  • Review and test hardware and software features for multiple products.
  • Isolate and report defects, quantify impact, and verify fixes through regression testing and other test methodologies.
  • Work closely with development teams to understand key software features and underlying functionality.
  • Analyze data from test results and generate test reports (familiarity with tools like JIRA is preferred)
  • Report status on a regular basis.
  • Be a vocal proponent for quality.

Required Qualifications:


  • 8 years of SQA, DevTest experience, preferably on consumer-facing hardware/software products
  • Automation experience is mandatory, especially in Python, Appium, Selenium
  • Familiarity with Android Studio / Xcode
  • Experience with hardware and software development lifecycle processes
  • Understanding of networking concepts, 802.11, Bluetooth
  • Automated test experience with iOS / Android applications
  • Experience with API (white box) testing
  • Experience testing AWS (Cloud) preferred or familiarity with any Cloud concepts

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with open source tools & packet captures (such as iPerf, Wireshark, etc.)
  • Automation experience is preferred in Ruby / Cucumber framework
  • Strong command over network debug tools and sniffer applications, interpreting/analyzing packet captures
  • Good communication skills due to the high level of cross-functional interaction between various development and QA teams
  • Experience testing firmware, building embedded systems
  • Familiarity with GIT / code repositories and build infrastructures, Jenkins
  • Experience with AGILE SW Methodologies, in a Continuous Delivery environment


BS electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent (MS preferred).
