Job Summary for Preventative Maintenance Technician:

SkyBridge is in the market for multiple Preventative Maintenance Technicians for clients in the Tampa, FL area. All levels of experience are welcomed! These are hands on positions dealing with equipment and machine maintenance in a warehouse or factory setting. These positions are immediately available and candidates can interview as soon as possible.

Responsibilities for Preventative Maintenance Technician:

  • Responsible for the upkeep of a facility/environment
  • Carry out routine check on the company’s facilities, and make or arrange repairs as needed
  • Maintain a thorough Maintenance log, and PM schedule for all machinery and equipment
  • Carry out regular preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair or replace worn parts in machine and equipment
  • Maintain and manage inventory of spare parts for all critical equipment
  • Ensure that safety standards are maintained in the course of performing duties
  • Ensure that the facility areas and work environment are free of hazardous objects and substances.
  • Assist in supervising the activities of external technicians or sub-contractors
  • Supervise other technicians onsite
  • Assist in the preparation of budget for facility installation or maintenance
  • Keep proper record of work activities, including all procurement and maintenance costs
  • Submit reports on work activities and progress of work to the supervisor
  • May be required to assist in the movement of materials and labor for projects.
  • Create a schedule to perform maintenance during various shifts throughout the week

Requirements for Preventative Maintenance Technician:

  • Hold a minimum of 5 years in Preventative Maintenance, mechanical repairs, electrical and/or mechanical experience required.
  • Ability to work and communicate with people at all levels across the organization
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends on occasion.
  • Flexibility to be available for on-call during alternate shifts.
  • Extremely organized and able to easily multi-task.

Highly Desired for Preventative Maintenance Technician:

  • Prior or current experience with Lean Manufacturing.
  • Forklift certified.
  • A candidate with a character traits such as integrity, creativity, persistence, and personal drive
