Job Summary for Cable Technician/Lead Cable Technician:

SkyBridge is in the market for multiple Lead Cable Technicians for a highly reputable client in the Tampa, FL area. All levels of experience are welcomed! These are structure cabling positions dealing with low voltage work at strictly commercial sites. These positions are immediately available and candidates can interview as soon as possible.

Responsibilities for Cable Technician:

  • Perform various hands one tasks as a technician such as cable pulling, cable routing, installations, and other related tasks.
  • Handle a variety of low voltage cables and wires such as CAT 5, CAT 5e, CAT6, fiber optic cable, and more.
  • Perform inspection of all work and cable lines.
  • Perform cable preparation and lay ground cables.
  • Run or bend conduit, with digital multi-meters and testing cable.
  • Rack and stack work, closet work, and patch panels.
  • Install support structures such as ladders, racks, j-hooks and more.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism on project work sites.

Additional Responsibilities for Lead Cable Technician:

  • Handle face to face interaction and provide a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Oversee and manage small crews of cable technician ensuring optimization and efficiency on projects.

Requirements for Lead Cable Technician:

  • Hold a minimum of 6 months of prior low voltage cable experience.
  • Hold a minimum of 6 months of Lead role experience.
  • Ability to do some travel to various work sites across Florida for projects.
  • Flexibility on availability to work overtime hours.

Highly Desired for Cable Technician/Lead Cable Technician:

  • Prior or current experience with Fiber Optic cables
  • Prior or current experience with CCTV or Security Camera wiring
