Job Description

?Job Description for Demand Planner:

  • Create replenishment stocking levels and forecasting at SKU levels, insuring forecasting processes and methods are followed on a weekly basis.
  • Forecasting – create and provide component forecasts out 12 months for key items needed to support growing demand
  • Managing product transitions as a result of new product launches and legacy product conversions insuring proper product conversion and avoidance of inventory scrapping.
  • Support and actively engage in initiatives to promote better inventory optimization, such as; Supplier portals, customer portals, 3PL portals, BPO, and ROP initiatives.
  • Provide accurate and summarized inventory and order status to key customers as required.
  • Prepare appropriate shipping notifications, ASN’s and commercial invoices when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Math, science, engineering or technically related field).
  • 1 year of history of developing custom replenishment and forecast models.
  • 3 or more years of experience as a demand & inventory planner within consumer product environments.
  • Strong experience with utilization of DRP/MRP systems, such as SAP/Oracle.
  • History of developing custom replenishment and forecast models.
  • Proven experience managing thousands of SKU’s.
  • Proven expertise with Excel.
  • CPIM preferred.
  • Up to 5-15% Travel.
