A&P Corporate Aircraft Mechanic

The Maintenance Service Center (MSC) Aircraft Technician reports directly to the MSC Crew Chief and assists the MSC Crew Chief with general maintenance tasks associated with the inspection and discrepancies associated with the aircraft work scope. They will assist the MSC Senior Aircraft Technicians as assigned by the MSC Crew Chief. They will be responsible to mentor and train MSC Junior Aircraft Technicians.

*Ability to perform phase inspections, maintenance, repair, install, and conduct modifications as needed on Corporate/Business Aircraft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities included, but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Follow and apply Standard Operating Procedures
- Follow and apply Company's Policies and Procedures
- Ensure paperwork is filled out correctly (CMP and Repair Station Forms)
- Keep a clean and organized work area
- Ensure aircraft is protected
- Write corrective actions
- Perform Discrepancies and corrective actions
- Work with little supervision
- Become familiar with the SRM and MM
- Open and Close panels
- Seal aircraft panels
- Perform CMP tasks
- Develop troubleshooting skills and techniques
- Make standard time on CMPs and Discrepancies by maintaining a high level of efficiency and quality

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);

*2-10 years of maintenance experience with Gulfstream, Pilatus, Challengers, Learjets, Beechcraft, and Citiations.

Airframe & Powerplant Licenses required.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:
Must have basic computer skills: Basic computer operations; Printing and computer care; Word processing;Excel spreadsheet; E-Mail and web browsing.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
FAA Airframe and Powerplant License

Must be able to work shifts/overtime, as necessary
Must be able to operate ground support equipment

Other Qualifications:
Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
